The “hreflang” attribute is an HTML tag that is used to indicate to search engines which language a web page is written in, and which region it is targeted towards. This information helps search engines to serve the correct version of a page to users based on their location and language preferences. The hreflang attribute is placed in the “head” section of a web page and provides information about the language and geographical targeting of the page to search engines. For example, if a website has versions of a page in English and Spanish, and the Spanish version is intended for users in Spain, the hreflang attribute for that page would indicate that the language is Spanish and the target audience is in Spain. This information can help search engines to return the correct version of the page in search results, improving the user experience and increasing the relevance of the page to its intended audience.
