« Back to Glossary Index

Domain Rating (DR)” is a metric used by the SEO tool “Ahrefs” to measure the strength and authority of a website’s backlink profile. The metric ranges from 0 to 100 and is calculated based on the number and quality of backlinks pointing to a website.

A higher Domain Rating indicates a stronger backlink profile and a more authoritative website, which is likely to rank higher in search results. The DR score takes into account various factors, such as the quantity, quality, and relevance of the backlinks, as well as the strength of the linking domains.

Domain Rating can be used to compare different websites and evaluate their backlink profiles, and it is also used as a factor in determining a website’s visibility and ranking in search results.
